GENEROUS GIFT FROM ITALIAN LADIES TO CHILDREN’S CHARITY

A delegation of the Italian Ladies Committee (Club Donne Italiane) from South London and Surrey made a special visit to The Children’s Trust, Tadworth (26th April)  to see how their donation of £30,000  has been used to help make a difference to families, whose children receive care at the Trust.

The ladies’ generous donation has funded a newly-built extension to the lounge of the recently refurbished parents accommodation, which houses up to 10 families at one time.

The accommodation provides a home-from-home environment for parents of children on rehabilitation programmes, following an acquired brain injury sustained as a result of an accident or serious illness.

Roberta Mutti, President of the Italian Ladies Club, said:

“We are so pleased to see our donation being used to build such a lovely, sunny and spacious area for families to be able to stay together at what is a difficult time.”

Katie Roberts, Head of Community Fundraising at The Children’s Trust added:

“We are most grateful to the Italian Ladies who, over the last two years, have worked tirelessly organising many fundraising events and activities to raise such an amazing amount of money and we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved for their generous donation.”
