Surrey Harmony, a Surrey-based ladies a cappella chorus have asked Dandelion Theatre Arts students to perform with them. at the Epsom Playhouse on Saturday 27 September.
The show " Can't Stop The Beat! " will be a dynamic, upbeat evening of music, song and dance. Surrey Harmony will sing a combination of chart and show songs, and stage an excerpt from Les Misérables while Dandelion Theatre Arts will perform extracts from their West Side Story Summer workshop for 10 – 14 year olds.
Dandelion Theatre Arts founder Jennai Alberts said: “We are delighted to have been approached by Surrey Harmony to be one of the groups performing with them at the Playhouse and we are looking for more children to join our West Side Story summer workshop appear on stage in September. The West Side Story drama, song and dance workshop gives children going into Year 6 up to 14 year olds the chance to learn the story, the songs, the dances, and put on a show at the end of the week. The workshop is being held at the Epsom Playhouse from 18th until 22nd August from 9.30am until 3pm and there will be a show on the last day at 3pm for family and friends.”
