An enthusiastic crowd joined in the fun at The Ashley Centre’s “Christmas light switch on event” which took place on Saturday 19 November and they weren’t disappointed!
Throughout the day, the “Rock Choir”, stilt walkers, balloon modellers, face painters and roving entertainers ensured everyone was well and truly in the festive mood. Guest appearances by Father Christmas, Ashley Bear and the cast of the Epsom Playhouse pantomime “Dick Whittington”, performed as the lead up to the excitement of the Christmas lights being switched on!
After the show, children enjoyed the personal interaction, as they got to meet all the characters and pose for photos with “Santa” who gave out Christmas treats.
The Ashley Centre is geared up for loads more festive entertainment in December. Many more local choirs will be performing, our Christmas Fair is taking place in the central court over the weekends of the 10th and 11th and then again on the 17th and 18th of December. Trading hours will also be extended until 7pm as from Saturday 17 to Friday 23 December. Anchor tenants Marks & Spencer, Waitrose and Boots open later.
