Located in a beautiful leafy corner of Epsom, The Chalk Lane Hotel lies between the famous Epsom Racecourse - home of the Derby - and the market town of Epsom - with its regular and direct rail links to central London, and easy access to the M25 and London Gatwick airport.
Owned and managed by Steven McGregor, he has brought his many years of experience in top class hotels to this delightful Epsom setting. Starting his career working for Hilton Hotels, Steven spent a number of years working in South Africa and the Middle East, followed by The Hilton Hotel in Park Lane in London. He then took the prestigious role of Maitre D' at the world famous Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland where he spent two years before taking up the position of Director of Food and Beverage at Dromoland Castle in County Clare, Southern Ireland.
Returning to Scotland he then spent six years as Deputy General Manager of the exclusive Old Course Golf and Spa resort in St. Andrews, before moving to Northumberland where he opened and managed the De Vere Slaley Hall.
Steven's extensive experience in these exclusive hotels shows with his own Chalk Lane hotel and especially in the high standards, quality and service he insists on.

I have been involved with many similar dinners in the course of my work and I have to say that I was extremely impressed by the professionalism with which everything was handled, in particular the calm efficiency which was a hallmark throughout proceedings. It is so rare to have an experience that is entirely positive, but Iâm genuinely struggling to find fault with any aspect of the service we received (and the fact I have tried probably gives you an indication of how picky I can be if I try!).
I just wanted to say a big thank you to all at Chalk Lane for a fantastic evening. The room looked lovely and everyone commented on how good the food was. Everything went so smoothly which is down to Edward and the staff. So once again, thanks very much for making my party a very special event.
