After deciding that I wanted to propose to my girlfriend, I arranged an appointment with Lilleys to have an engagement ring made. They were really helpful: they took me through the various designs, materials and diamonds and ensured I got the best ring possible for my budget. A few weeks later, I had a beautiful ring and an equally beautiful fiancée wearing it! That I had created the ring myself meant a huge amount to her and she is delighted with the outcome (as am I!). Lilleys is a very friendly, knowledgeable and reliable business who will certainly be crafting our wedding rings in due course.

I first met John at a local wedding fayre he was the friendliest jeweller we had met and was nice to talk to someone that didn't pressure you for a sale, after looking through the jewellery that John and Bee made I couldn't have thought of anyone better to make my wedding ring and booked an appointment to design and price mine and my husbands wedding ring.
Throughout the whole process John and Bee were very helpful and the wedding rings we received at the end were beautiful and worth every penny.
I would recommend Liley's to anyone and have already done so with a few friends that are also getting married this year.

We had our wedding rings made by Lilley's back in 2001 and were extremely pleased with the service received then. So when it came to an enternity ring there was only one place for us to go, especially as I had a certain design in mind. John has made me extactly the ring I wanted and I am delighted with it. John is very professional but personable at the same time, he is open and honest and a real craftsman, who takes pride in his work - rightly so. I believe the prices are competitive although it is difficult to compare such a bespoke service to something you would get on the high street, in my view they definately offer value for money. I would not hesitae to recommend Lilley's to anyone.

We bought our wedding rings from Lilleys in 2005 and received first class service. So when I needed both my wedding and engagement ring to be made bigger we did not hesitate in contact John and Bee.

John ensured that my rings were sized correctly and also replaced the setting on my engagement ring which had work away, this was not originally bought from Lilleys.

When I picked them up, they looked liked new, polished and cleaned!

Our beautiful wedding rings have just been made by John Lilley & it was a pleasure to of had them made by him with the assistance of his lovely wife Bee.
These things are to last a lifetime & with the craftsmanship that is obviously of such a high standard, this will certainly be the case with our rings.
John asked if my engagement spun on my finger slightly, I wasnt even aware of this until he mentioned this, so as you can imagine the rings he made us fit perfectly & its a lovely sight to see on our left hands.

We turned up for our first appointment and wasnt sure at first as to what to expect as it is quite hidden away. Once inside, it is very professional and welcoming. Both John and Bee were very friendly and didnt pressurize you into any commitment. John is very knowledgable and went through the whole process of sizing our fingers, to picking styles, any engravings wanted and if there was anything we liked on one style and something else on another style and you could combine them. I loved this as there was so much choice, we were able to personalise our own rings to what we wanted and were comfortable with. When we were able to pick up our rings, I was a bit nervous as I wasnt sure what to expect as we had desiged our rings ourselves. When Bee brought them out I was very impressed. They are stunning rings and will definately be going back for more jewellery. The pricing of our rings was excellent, and I am extremely happy with these pieces.

There is a lovely 'laid back' friendly atmosphere in what is a small family run business.

As soon as you arrive you know that this is no ordinary jewellers, surrounded by trees and located next to the river this is an unusual but fantastic setting. We sat with both John and Bee to discuss the requirements of our wedding rings and they could not of been more helpful. My fiance has an unusual engagement ring and we needed a piece made to fit around it. We had an idea of how we wanted it to look but had no idea if it could be done. John just smiled and said he liked a challenge. The final product was better than we could ever of expected it was stunning. The workmanship was fantastic. In fact it made the engagement ring look a bit dull so they also took that away and cleaned it up and that looks better than it started! I also got my ring, not as many diamonds (obviously) but just as pleased. You are treated like a VIP from start to finish and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Lilleys to anyone I know. We decided we would like to have our wedding rings made for us rather than buy them from the High Street. When we visited Bee & John at their showroom for the first time we both had ideas about how we wanted our rings to look, and neither of us came away disappointed. John helped us both come up with designs that used the ideas we already had and included some suggestions from him to make them just a bit better! Seeing the rings take shape over the next few visits was fantastic, and collecting them just before our wedding, all shiny, sparkly & exactly as we’d wanted & like nothing we’d seen in the shops was an amazing feeling.

John and Co. really pulled out the stops to get an engagement ring prepared in time for me to pop the question on holiday. Exceptional turn-around time and still an exceptional result; the ring is jaw-dropping, the diamond is unbelievable. My (now) fiance is the envy of her friends, as her rings puts theirs in the shade.

My fiance bought me a lovely engagement ring from a high street jewellers. Unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to it and we looked around for something else. I got in touch with Lilleyʼs on a Sunday and by the end of the day we had seen John and had designs for my engagement ring and both of our wedding rings. He listened to all that we had to say and all my concerns about having yet another allergic reaction and put my mind at ease.
We collected the engagement ring this weekend......I could not have been happier with it. It is truly stunning! More beautiful than I thought it would be. So so impressed. And not only is it beautiful, itʼs so so comfortable. Only a few more months and then weʼll get to see the finished wedding rings!

My husband and I had some truly beautiful wedding rings made for us by John at Lilleys. From start to finish it was a wonderful experience. John was extremely patient and he was able to create unique rings for us both which reflected our individual personalities and that we are both delighted with. We first met Bee at a wedding fayre in Harlow, she was really helpful and gave us alot of information on the spot.
After looking at various jewellers locally we were quite disheartened, firstly by the price and secondly that the sales assistants are just that sales assistants wanting to sell you the most expensive rings!!
We gave Lilleys a call and we went for a chat the following weekend (at our convenience). The premises are fantastic, small and personal and the display cabinets in the waiting area show the sheer quality of Johns work. We sat with John for nearly an hour and explained what we would like etc, and what our budget was, we felt no pressure at all and we were very relaxed. By the end of our chat we had ordered our wedding rings!! Which were much better value than high street jewellers and to be honest a personal service like this is priceless. We then went for a fitting, followed by a second fitting, and collected the rings on our third visit (this again was all at our convenience - all weekend appointments).
My husbands ring is a plain white gold band and mine is the same, however John shaped this for me in order to fit with my engagement ring, I am so pleased with it and I have had a lot of comments on how great they both look together!
We are so impressed with everything they did for us, we have recommended them to many people, not only that we will be a customer for life of Lilleys.

John and Bee are two of the most nicest people I have ever met. I was introduce to Lillies by a colleague at work who visited a few wedding fairs and recommended John and Bee. I gave them a call and they manage to see me the same day. The service I received upon arrival was nothing but professional, relaxed which made me feel special. I was introduced to Lilleyʼs by a work colleague at the time of my engagement. When myself, and my at the time fiance, arrived we were amazed by the professionalism, warmth and friendliness of John and Bee. The studio is light and spacious and very welcoming. We felt instantly relaxed and under no pressure or obligation.

John and Beeʼs customer service is second to none and together the engagement ring of my dreams was created and at a price we could afford! The ring was of such better quality than a high street jeweller and made all the more special knowing that it was a one-off and hand made! When it came to our wedding rings there was no question of where they would be made. Both mine and my husbands rings were exquisite and mine fitted my unusually shaped engagement ring perfectly.

We had seen Lilley’s craftsman jewellers at many of the wedding fairs we had been to and after much disappointment with high street jewellers, we made an appointment to see John.

My fiancé and I received excellent service from both John and Bee. I found them polite, professional and friendly. It truly seemed they wanted to create the perfect ring for us and I can honestly say they delivered just that!

John listened to everything we had a say so intently he managed to produce the image in our heads. We were so excited on collection day as John produced both our rings to us. We were amazed by the workmanship and obvious care taken to craft these beautiful pieces. Although the rings were stunning, the setting of the stones in my wedding bands was not quite what I had in mind. John, without hesitation, offered to rework the ring to make it exactly what I wanted. He was not satisfied that the design was not 100% and seemed determined to craft the ring of my dreams.

On arrival to view the reworked ring, John was beaming with excitement and we were overwhelmed with the results he had achieved. He had made me not only 1 ring but 2! The first ring he had reworked to include more diamonds and the second ring included slightly bigger stones and matched the setting flawlessly. It was really difficult to decide which ring to have as they were both beautiful but I had to go with my first choice as it was everything I had hope for. John was very apologetic that this result was not reached first time around and polished my engagement ring for free as a gesture of good will.

Thereʼs no doubt in my mind that Lilleys is one of the best, if not the best, craftsmen jewellers out there !! They offer the finest customer service at no extra cost and produce outstanding pieces of art, customed to your requirements. Money well worth spent !!

Hereʼs our story...

Bumped into John&Bee at a wedding fair. They didnʼt go for the hard sell, just the friendly approach, gave us a card and some info, then followed up with a call a few weeks later. We didnʼt feel any pressure, so went along to their premises to see what they were all about... I mean, what have you got to loose?

Wasnʼt sure what to expect and felt nervous and excited at the same time. The building was quite humble from the out side, but very warming and professional on the inside.

We were greeted by Bee, who was very friendly and welcoming. Then we were taken through to meet John, who had a glow about him and made us feel settled within seconds.

We gave John an idea of what we were looking for, knowing that my wifeʼs wedding ring would need to be customised to fit her engagement ring like a glove.

Within minutes we were chatting away with John, looking at lots of different rings, trying them on, drawing shapes (well John did that part) and forming a picture of what we were looking for.

We felt no pressure through out.... and actually enjoyed the experience.

It didnʼt take too long for us to come up with what we were looking for, thanks to Johnʼs guidance. The best thing was that it was within our budget and a lot cheaper than what we had seen in the shops... in fact, I paid for the rings there and then!!

2 visits later (1 to try on the rings before the final stone setting took place, 1 to collect) and we were finished.

We had a very very very small hiccup, where there was less than a days delay and I didnʼt really see it as a problem... however, John, being the professional that he is, was very apologetic and offered to polish up the engagement ring free of charge. I actually felt embarrassed, but you truly felt that these guys cared and wanted to give you 110%.

We recommended Lilleys to a friend who was getting married. They received the same treatment and went with Lilleys also on the purchase of their wedding rings.

Our rings were and are fantastic !!

Thereʼs no way we are going to buy from the high street again !!

It was a pleasure to part with our money for such a super service and high quality rings !!

I canʼt say much more, apart from, you would be silly not to have gone to Lillies first. In fact, if you shop around, it will only enforce that Lillies is the best.
