If you are looking to get a cast made of your childs hand and foot don't be in a hurry for them to get it to you. They will promise it in a few days and not ensure it is ready even a week later.

The staff are incredibly helpful especially if you have children. Excellent facilities again for kids and parents. Nothing is too much trouble. We also so had a fab birthday party for our two year old, great, great, great!

Think its something very different, lots of different ceramics to choose from and a great price range with lots of great colours to choose from too. Very friendly & helpful staff & is very spaceous. Has a comfy chill area for adults while the kids play in the soft play. Tea coffee & cakes are fab.

I often pop in for a coffee and cake if Iʼm shopping at Ocean Terminal - cheaper than Costa, Starbucks etc and more homely. Child friendly, so my little angels can play in the play area while we relax! Good baking, and the staff are lovely.

For me and my friends and all our children this is just one of our favourite places. Typically weʼll pile in and get some coffees while slowly choose something to paint. Thereʼs lots of squash and juice and frothy milk kiddy capuccinos. Then we do some painting and then the children go wild in the soft play area while we gossip. Then to round it all off the kids can watch a movie on a little mezzanine floor. the lady who runs it is lovely, really helpful. Top tip - whatever your child paints hype up the fact that itʼs for a grandparent and will be given away, we are getting a bit over-run with ladybirds, caterpillars, dragons.....

I went with a group last month and we had a terrific time. Loved Cindyʼs ceramic jewellery range too, they make great presents. Stephanie Taylor Sunday Brunch Club

My children love coming here, last time we made their handprints for on a mug for their Grandadʼs birthday. Very friendly and good cake!

We often go the Ceramic Experience in Leith but there was a party at the Marchmont one which we hadnʼt been to before, itʼs the same idea with pottery painting and soft play but a bit smaller than Leith, just as friendly and the children really enjoyed painting as usual. Very cosy!

Paint-your-own-pottery, jewellery making, kidʼs parties, childrenʼs hand and footprints - thereʼs nowhere like the Ceramic Experience. Great for wet weather family activities, and handy for shopping at Ocean Terminal, we love it!
