Phil is a very talented photographer and has produced beautiful images of my son and I which I will forever treasure. The location shoot was a great experience and even though I felt somewhat self conscious in front of the camera, Phil has a natural ability to put people at ease and feel comfortable, which resulted in him capturing some very special family moments.

Johannes produced five videos for the BRIght Target Explorer (BRITE) Constellation of astronomy satellites. These videos were an integral part of a press release, which Johannes also composed, associated with the launch of the first pair of satellites in February 2013. Billed as "The World's Smallest Space Telescope" Johannes’ BRITE press release garnered worldwide attention and his videos and imagery were featured prominently in many stories and articles that were subsequently published by numerous media outlets. Without Johannes' contributions this project would never have garnered the attention that it did. The videos Johannes produced, a series of one to five-minute vignettes, touched on engineering, scientific and even human aspects of the BRITE mission. They included footage of spacecraft integration activities and simulations interspersed with interviews with the key personnel associated with the mission. The resulting videos were a fascinating look into both the low-level details of spacecraft development and the big picture of space mission planning and, as such, were appealing to a very wide audience including but not limited to engineers, astronomers, space enthusiasts, media and the general public. In making the BRITE vignettes Johannes was proactive in ensuring he was present for major activities. We never had to work around his schedule; he always worked around ours. He filmed without obstructing or interfering with activities in any way, despite working in cramped and uncomfortable conditions. And despite tight confines and challenging imaging conditions Johannes managed to capture, in amazing quality, the large scale operations as well as the minute (almost microscopic at times) details of the work. The result is was a unique and never-before-seen glimpse into the world of nanosatellite engineering and operations.
