Have played the course many times and currently a member at another club in Eastbourne. 5 of us played yesterday- course in great condition and we enjoyed the round. However the welcome from the barman was a tad hostile. Firstly we waited 15 minutes before he appeared and when one of my friends went to go downstairs to ask he was met by the barman he growled “Take that off!” Referring to his cap. He looked us all up and down and said “Stand over there if you have spikes “ We didn’t we had treads or trainers. He reluctantly poured out drinks and seemed annoyed we ordered a 2nd round. The club charges £33.50 for a round despite the course being very quiet- 2nd most expensive in Eastbourne. No reciprocal with our other clubs. Common sense should prevail. 5 local businessmen - what an opportunity. But no just take the money. Great location and generally a good day out but I think I’ll stick with my own club for the foreseeable future.

A lovely meal in beautiful settings. Lovely views of the course and the downs. It was odd having the bar and restaurant billed separately, but ok once you know. At some courses the players use the same bar, but here they have their own upstairs, which makes for a better ambience. Lovely white tablecloths, just a shame about the multi coloured poor quality paper serviettes. Well worth a visit with a small group of friends or family.

Friendly, friendly golf club. Moved from Scotland to Eastbourne and on the recommendation of three independent sources, I joined Willingdon Golf Club. I could not be happier with my choice. The club in general and the seniors in particular have confirmed the recommendations of my sources that this is a very friendly club.
I would suggest to anybody relocating to this area who wants to play golf but also enjoys a bit of social banter to join Willingdon. You will not be disappointed.

Well presented golf course in good all round condition. Swirling winds post a challenge. The design let's it down a bit with bottlenecked criss-cross areas

We held a formal dinner for 60 on 30/06/2018. Rachel & Steve made the whole process very easy. Location, food, value for money & service were all excellent. Highly recommended - we propose to return for future events.

A somewhat late review. Our regimental old comrades club ( Parachute Regiment ) held our annual celebratory lunch here. The meal was excellent and the surroundings (the old club building) lovely. The staff and the service were fantastic. So much so that we've booked a return visit.
