My husband and I have known Alison for the past ten years and moved with her when she started the Dental Barn. Having lived in all regions of the U.K. and are very particular in choosing a dental practice I can say, with confidence, that the staffs' knowledge, efficiency and friendliness is second to none and highly recommend them.

I hadn't been to a dentist in over two years because I'd lost confidence in my previous practice. I knew I needed to find a new dentist but I was worried about signing up to another and falling into the same situation again. I actually asked on Twitter for recommendations in the Eastbourne area and checked out a few places but for one reason or another I was still unsure. Then Dave Ruddle Twitted a recommendation for the Dental Barn and I'd already driven past it a few times.

From first looking at the website to my initial appointment I felt at ease and confident. I was made to feel like a person and friend rather than just another patient. The setting is extremly relaxing, modern, clean and friendly. I immediately felt at ease, welcome and able to discuss my needs without being rushed.

I've been having a course of treatment at The Dental Barn, and everyone there is incredibly friendly as well as being professional.

The barn is a lovely, relaxed setting in which to go to a dentist, but it's the people that make it. It's my favourite of the dentists I've used over the years!

Not only is the quality of dentistry at The Dental Barn exceptional, the level of individual and personal care from Alison and her team is amazing.

I completely trust them all with the dental treatment and ongoing care that they provide to me and all members of my family. My children love going to the dentist!!

The surgery is a welcoming, relaxed and warm place to visit with easy access and parking. It doesn't smell, look or feel like going into a traditional dental surgery!

I would highly recommend this dental practice to:
- new patients such as young children (as they will learn how to look after their teeth properly);
- those who normally don't like going to the dentist (the team are not at all scary!); and
- those who are more long-term dental patients (the quality and reliability of work is extremely high).

The setting at Upper Dicker is situated in most pleasant countryside. The friendliness of all the staff, the surroundings and décor at the surgery make a visit to the dentist extremely relaxing and one is at ease very quickly. The service received from the Dentist and Alison Thompson as my Hygienist has been nothing less than first class. Their respective patience, care and attention to detail has been most satisfying.
