IN 2008, PRB Consultancy founder Richard Bell, was tasked with creating an Health Safety and Environment awareness course for the UK's largest, purely renewable energy company Infinis. The course was then approved by the Safety Pass Alliance (SPA). In January 2009 the first course was delivered by Richard to a selection of senior managers within the company. The course was then rolled out to all site operatives and office staff. To date, some five hundred employees have attended the course and a series of renewal courses began earlier in 2011 with successful candidates receiving the Safety Passport Card. Richard has been the trainer for our mandatory Safety Passport course for employees since its inception in 2008 and, as such, he has played a vital role in its implementation. The Safety Passport programme is a significant component of our safety and environmental improvement strategy and his input has contributed to its success over the years.
PRB Consulting was formed in January 2010, when founder and director Richard Bell left the employment of Halcrow Group Limited as Rail Safety and Training Manager. Richard was retained by Halcrow as a consultant and continues in the role albeit on a part time basis. Richard continues in this role today and is now the primary health and safety consultant for all UK and European rail projects undertaken by Halcrow Group Limited. In addition to this he manages the specific rail training requirements for all Halcrow staff working on UK Rail projects, ensures compliance to Link-Up protocols and leads the annual audits performed on the company by its clients.
