East Sussex County Council's Buy With Confidence scheme provides the public with a list of businesses that have been vetted by the County Council’s Trading Standards Service. Covering Eastbourne, Polegate, Seaford,Newhaven, Peacehaven, Lewes, Hailsham, Heathfield, Mayfield, Forest Row, Hartfield, Hailsham, Battle, Winchelsea, Hastings, St Leonards, Bexhill, Pevensey, Uckfield, Crowborough, Wadhurst, Etchingham, Robertsbridge, Rye and towns, villages in between.
Businesses joining the scheme undergo a robust vetting procedure and once approved are monitored to ensure they continue to comply with the terms of membership.
If a customer has a complaint against a member they can receive advice and support to get the matter resolved as appropriate.
