One of the concerns about employing people is the myth that you can't actively manage them. What I mean by that is how do you address performance issues and manage under performing staff out of your company.
To people who know about these things it's quite easy. But when your dream idea becomes a reality and it actually takes off, suddenly you are employing people it can seem quite scary!
A few simple tips can help you manage your employees effectively and help you to get the most out of them - and ultimately get them out if they aren't up to it! The government are helping out a little bit now with changing full employment rights to two years from the current one year for all employees employed from 6 April 2012 onwards. This will bring the redundancy time frame back in line with unfair dismissal claims.
