I'm a professional photographer and I've worked at Rowfant House quite a few times over the years. I've always found it to be a great venue for either a ceremony and / or a reception - the chapel for the ceremony is particularly lovely. As a reception venue, it offers tons of great photography opportunities as well as lots of space for your guests to relax come rain or shine (and let's face it, that is a bit of a must in our uncertain climate). The house itself is a lovely backdrop for photographs but there are also lots of shady spaces for group photographs (which is a real bonus if it is a cloudless sky, as it allows you to keep your guests cool as well as get much better photographs). vThe steps in the garden, plus the backdrop of the fishing lake are also lovely spots for more romantic portraits of the bride and groom (as well as the little bridge that is tucked away at the side). Kids love to run and play on the green which means that are able to burn off lots of energy before they sit down for dinner, and there are some gorgeous trees which, as well as looking fab, also make wonderful secret dens which will keep them amused for an hour or so. The reception rooms are full of character and the staff have always been friendly and helpful when I have been there.
