Good news for all those holding out for a reprieve on all the business doom and gloom – there’s an empty shop in East Grinstead that’ll soon be saved from a fate of boarded-up windows.
The knight in shining armour that is hoping to bring a business boom of his own to our town is the one and only Peter Andre!
The ITV2 reality TV luminary has set his sights on becoming an entrepreneur in the coffee shop world, with a planning application apparently already issued.
Peter’s agent has reportedly said: “[Peter’s] been planning this for years. He has a business head and his strategy is top notch”.
Perhaps Mr Andre got his inspiration from the promotion he previously carried out for coffee shop giants, Costa Coffee; but the ex-pop star has now put out an appeal for potential baristas to join his own team.
Writing on his Twitter account (@MrPeterAndre) back in April, Peter teasingly wrote: “C&M (caffeine and me) good name for a coffee shop. Don’t steal it…”
The name of this caffeinated venture is reported to be the New York Coffee Club, with the opening set to occur in around five weeks’ time, and a second store in London in around six months. Peter has said:
“I’m opening a coffee shop very near where I live in the next couple of months and I’m really excited about it. It’s going to be in East Grinstead and I’m looking for some talented baristas to work there.
“I’m hoping it’ll be a chain eventually, but at the moment I just want to focus on the one shop. It makes sense for it to be near my house so that I can pop in and help out whenever they need me there!”
