New Swedish research on smoking and weight

Bookmark and Share

It is commonly thought that if someone stops smoking they will put on weight. While smoking has decreased in Western countries, obesity has increased.

But further research at the Nordic school of Public Health (NHV) in Sweden has

produced some interesting results.

They looked at two measures of body fat BMI (Body Mass Index) and WHR(Waist Hip Ratio). The WHR increased for women smokers, compared to non smokers, but both BMI and WHR increased for male smokers.

If you find this information scary, then have a think about giving up smoking, and/or losing weight. Effective Hypnosis can help.
