Just started work on an existing bungalow with Alan, thus far the service has been excellent. The most striking impact using AHM has had on the project is the design of the property itself, Alan has turned a mundane old bungalow into a contemporary and stylish family home. Really happy with how the building is going to look at completion. Generally though AHM are competent, professional, realistic and easy to deal with. Traits that are quite rare in our industry. Alan is very approachable and helpful with any issues I have and I would definitely use AHM again in future. I am confident that with the continued knowledge and support of AHM the project is going to be a success.

From the start of our building project we were bogged down by a minefield of problems, heartache and grief, when it came to architects, we were mislead, cheated on and taken advantage of by some, you know who you are!

but then.....

things began to look up....

we were pointed in the direction of AHM, and we started off down a path that proved to be fruitful.

Alan Mayhew (and Simon Whithead) from AHM listened carefully to our brief, ideas and concerns (we had been badly burned by our previous experiences), they went away and designed a scheme for us that consists of 3 highly unique executive houses and one workshop on our site in bishop auckland, County Durham.

Everyone and I do mean everyone that has visited our site has been blown away by the layout and the concept that they came up with.

Don't get me wrong here this is not going to be a 'love in' with AHM, there were issues and debates at times, but these were resolved quickly and professionally (as they should be).

We would use AHM again without hesitation, and without a doubt recommend their services, they are a great bunch of professional guys who know there stuff, and I have already recommended their services to others.

AHM led us out of the wilderness that we seemed to be in 7 or so years ago, and myself and my wife Laura are very grateful for their input, we now have a dream home which we are moving into in a month or so, and 2 lovely houses that we now rent out.

From start to finish Alan Mayhew and his team were excellent to deal with. Our project was quite complicated involving bringing an old tired house up to modern standards. AHM achieved this with sympathy to the original design yet boldness that maximised space use and natural lighting. The attention to detail and determination to create a stunning project was evident throughout. They worked very effectively with builders and engineers, and I would be very happy to recommend their services.

AHM had very productive meetings with the Planning Authority and the building inspectors as was required from time to time. I think they gained immediate respect from these officials which eased subsequent decisions.

Their terms and conditions were very fair and they adhered to everything that was agreed in advance.
