Like any other city, it is unfortunate that Dundee has it's share of unwanted and stray dogs. Fortunately however, there is a facility in the city known as Brown Street Kennels which now offers shelter to these dogs and tries to re-home them where possible.
Volunteering
Just like humans, dogs need plenty of exercise. The dogs at Brown Street Kennels rely on the support of local volunteers for walks. If you can spare 1 or 2 hours a week and would like to become a volunteer for the dogs of Brown Street, please phone the kennels on 01382 432100. Volunteers must be reliable and confident around all dog breeds.
Re-homing a Brown Street Dog
All dogs available for re-homing can be viewed online or at the kennels in Dundee. If you feel that a particular dog would be a good match for you and your family, please contact the kennels to arrange a meeting.
Brown Street Kennels is open Monday - Friday from 10.30am until 4.14pm and on Saturday from 11am until 1.30pm.
