My Pinkie Promise, Dundee-based Event Management & Marketing Consultancy was very proud to meet HRH Prince Charles during the week-long Showcase event which they ran for An Comunn Gaidhealach during the Royal National Mod in Caithness from 11 - 15 October 2010.

The Showcase is an exhibition where organisations promote Gaelic-related & local products or services to Mod visitors, competitors and local people.

Owner of My Pinkie Promise, Alison Henderson said "We ran a week-long exhibition, several events to showcase the local Food & Drink which comes from Caithness & Sutherland as part of Scotland's Year of Food & Drink, and topped the event off by meeting HRH Prince Charles, who, as the Duke of Rothesay, has strong links with the local area. He presented gold medals to 2 of the winning competitors, and visited our Showcase and talked to the organisations during the morning"

As the first of a three year contract to run the Showcase, this year's exhibition received very good feedback from visitors & exhibitors alike. Next year, My Pinkie Promise will take the Showcase to Stornoway, and is on the look-out for businesses who are interested in taking part and promoting their organisations to nearly 10,000 visitors.

The Mod is a family orientated event which draws visitors and competitors from a wide cross-section of the Gaelic community. Special congratulations go to Dundee Gaelic Musical Association who will be defending the Choral Area Trophy which they won in Caithness.

Pictured here with HRH Prince Charles is Alison Henderson, Managing Director of My Pinkie Promise, and her son Fraser Henderson, a holiday from school that he will never forget! Many thanks to Graham Hood Photography for the photograph.
