Here at The Best of Dundee and Angus we are proud to showcase local businesses. With this in mind, we are delighted to announce that not one but two of our favourite dental practices has reached the finals of this year’s Dentistry Scotland Awards – recognising excellence in dentistry.
Vita Dental Spa in Monifieth is up for 5 awards including; Best Team, Practice of the Year, Best NHS Practice, Best Patient Care and Best New Practice.
Kirriemuir Dental Practice based in Kirriemuir, Angus is up for 2 awards, namely, Best Team and Best Community Project.
Finalists nominated for ‘Best Team’ were required to demonstrate an investment in team training and development, a positive team atmosphere, evidence of their team’s ability to go above and beyond the expected standard of care, glowing testimonials from patients and evidence of collaboration with the community. Something both Vita Dental Spa and Kirriemuir Dental Practice were able to offer in abundance. If you’re not already registered with a dentist, I’d certainly recommend one of these practices.
Kirriemuir Dental Practice quite rightfully, gained a place in the final of the Dentistry Scotland Awards for the category of ‘Best Community Project’. Throughout the year, the staff at Kirriemuir Dental Practice have participated in charity events such as 500 Miles for Smiles and The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning to raise funds for worthwhile charitable causes. Well done KDP!
As for Vita Dental Spa, it’s easy to see why they are in the running for Practice of the Year, Best NHS Practice, Best Patient Care and Best New Practice. Whilst Vita Dental Spa is relatively new, it is building a loyal patient base as a result of the team’s commitment to providing clinical excellence. The Team at Vita Dental Spa practice preventive dentistry and do their utmost to ensure their patients’ teeth and gums stay healthy. Their team regularly undertake training and keep up-to-date with advances in dental care. In short, they are extremely passionate about what they do. Both NHS and private patients living in and around Dundee rate this practice as being worthy of 5 stars.
