Astronomy of ancient civilisations from archaeological remains
SEKAS your local astronomica society will be hosting this fascinating talk delivered by Dr. John Hammond of the University of Kent at Canterbury. As the title says Dr. Hammond will talk of our knowledge and understanding of ancient astronomy, how they observed and the affects it had upon the people of the time. And all from the archaeological remains found at various sites including some found in Kent. It promises to be a very interesting and informative evening and light refreshments will be served afterwards.
