i am a player and a tennis coach at the Walmer Lawn Tennis Club and have always felt extremely lucky to have a local tennis club that has an excellent level of junior and senior tennis, with teams playing in East Kent and Kent leagues. There is also a great social tennis scene which is great for any level of tennis player to participate. The coaching team at the Walmer lawn Tennis Club provide a comprehensive coaching programme from mini tennis through to senior tennis. The club is actively involved in taking tennis coaching to the local primary schools.
My son goes to the tennis camps and regular coaching groups here and thoroughly enjoys them. The coaches are very skillful and the children develop tennis skills and have a great deal of fun at the same time. The club takes the game very seriously but they are friendly and welcoming and know how to encourage the children to take part and make progress. My son will be beating me soon, as a result, so I may have to resort to some coaching myself!
