On arriving after a long journey looking for something to eat,we were greeted by a young lad with the biggest smile on earth. And all through the evening he never lost that smile. We were made to feel very welcome and the food and service was excellent and reasonably priced. So much so that we went back twice more in the week, and the lad was still smiling. Thank you very much.

Wonderful to stay at a family run place with such hosp[itality and friendliness, Excellent value. We booked in for one night and ended up staying for four nights as it was so comfortable - perfect B & B. Nothing was too much trouble for Graham and his wife. Excellent food served in King's Head where there was such lovely atmosphere encompassing people of all ages - a real local friendly place.

We stayed in a very warm, clean and comfortable room on the ground floor of the nearby apartments. It was freezing cold and foggy outside so the warmth was really appreciated. If you want a sea view you really need to be on the first or second floor. It was a perfect situation for us, without a car, as it is on the seafront and about 10 minutes walk from Deal station. We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed the full English breakfast served in the atmospheric bar. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly despite being very busy. We also had dinner there one night and the lambshanks were great! Really think this hotel is very good value for money and would recommend it.

Nice and close to the pier. Centrally located with a nice view of the beach. Roomy and very clean room with a hearty full english breakfast served in the Hotel - we stayed in the Channel View guest rooms two doors up. Lovely walk along the beachfront through the beached fishing boats to Deal Castle. The pub grub here was also very good and the pub has a great atmosphere.

Have stayed here twice when visiting a friend in the area. Both times I was more than happy. There was a group of us with only two actually staying at the King's Head but they were more than happy to put on what was, on both occasions, a very good breakfast for the whole group. Would recommend to anyone. The staff and owners were pleasant and the rooms I have had have been comfortable, well equipped and clean. Who could ask for more.

Very warm and professional welcoming in the pub. The rooms are in a house seperate from the pub. We had room 14. Spotless, comfortable with a huge bathroom. Plenty of water. Very fast WIFI available. Beautifull sun in the room in the morning. We stayed 16th of September 2012. Paid 70£ breakfast included.

We arrived at the King's Head in the pouring rain and were greeted warmly and shown to our room. The room had a fantastic view over the sea, a comfortable bed, tea and biscuits, and an en-suite shower room. I have found many B&Bs have weak, lukewarm showers, but this one was wonderful! After the freezing cold rainy day, it was just what I needed. The room itself was clean and neutrally decorated. The hotel is only a five-minute walk from Deal Railway Station, and close to Deal Castle, the High Street, the Time Ball Tower, museums, and other historic sites. The breakfast was delicious and served promptly and with a smile. We also had lunch there one day and that was also great - classic pub food, served in generous portions. The family who runs the King's Head are all friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable about the local area, and very much involved in the community. We were there over the Jubilee weekend and there were lots of events going on locally which they had a hand in organising - live music in the pub itself, a concert in the square outside, etc.
