I had a very nice pre-festival dinner at a reasonable price. Lovely ambiance and good service.
We have visited this restaurant three times now and each visit has been excellent. The oyster tempura is to die for and the chef is obviously in love with his profession. We will be regular customers I suspect...also this restaurant is within very easy staggering distance of our holiday home!
This was our first visit, we were slightly concerned at first having to 'battle' our way through the clients at the bar at the entrance. Once inside however, we were extremely impressed with the food, service and ambience. It is rare to find such a great combination of all three. We will return!
Best restaurant in the area by far.The ambiance, seating, and opening glass roof, eating under the stars, all add to a most delightful evening. The food is exceptional- thanks to Johan. The oysters are absolutely the best, much better than far more expensive and exclusive restaurants in London. My table is booked every Friday night after a long and tiring week in London.Celebratory or theme evenings are very special, flowers, balloons and the artistic, special extra touches make this restaurant a fore runner.New Years Eve was our best for years.Just what the doctor ordered! Finally the staff, especially the youngsters are really well trained and very helpful & polite.Thank you Mike & Lesley.
Second visit to this restaurant and I have to say you must go for the food - it is lovely. I hadnʼt written a review before as unfortunately we were served the most appalling cups of tea ar the end of our meal and I didnʼt want to give a half -hearted review on that point alone - although for goodnessʼ sake how difficult is a cup of teaʽ So, knowing the food was delicious I went again with a group of friends last night resolving not to have tea so all would be well. I was in a party of 7 and without exception all dishes were thoroughly enjoyed by all - I loved mine but envied my companionsʼ choices... lovely food. Canʼt fault it ... go there. But, be prepared that the staff may not all be as friendly and wonderful as other reviewers have experienced. I was horrified at one waitress (the other was charming) who, when I had to ask for my ʼstill water, no iceʼ after I had been brought sparkling, brought me still water and a glass full of ice so I repeated ʼno ice thank youʼ and she emptied the ice out and returned to the table to slam the glass down churlishly on the table and flounce away. The effect was to bring the groupʼs convivial conversation to an abrupt stop. Very uncomfortable. I will probably go again because the food is so good and the venue very pleasant, but I will not go a fourth time if I experience another incident like that. What a shame to spoil an otherwise lovely evening out because they canʼt pour boiling water on a tea bag or be civil in the face of their minor mistakes. I truly hope they get this sorted.
Just experienced one of the "Court Yards" Food and Film evenings ...... combination of themed [and tasty] food and a great film plus friendly and helpful staff made for an enjoyable time - thank you
Had a couple of meals here, one lunch and one evening meal. Staff are very pleasant and the food was extremely good. Nice wine list too. Already recommended it to several friends.
THIS RESTAURANT IS TRULY STUNNING,THE FOOD IS TOTALLY OUTSTANDING THE WINE LIST MAKES DECISIONS HARD TO MAKE,AND I CAN NOT STAY AWAY
Everything about The Court Yard is fabulous - the food, the gin, the decor..... Even the sink in the ladies loo is stunning! We have been several times and always have a wonderful meal there.
Lovely relaxed venue and the service was second to none, real professionals.Really tasty food, with good wine. The desserts were to die for.I canʼt wait to return so I can sample more of the dishes on the menue!
a very enjoyable evening spent in a relaxing and charming environment. very attentive service and nothing was too much trouble.spotlessly clean and food beautifully presented. great for seafood lovers.will be returning again soon
From the moment you walk into The Court Yard, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. I love the funky retractable roof in the conservatory and dining under the stars is so good. What about the food - well, that speaks for itself..... Pink bubbles to start and the ʼto die forʼ Carte Blanche for desert....Fab!
I love this haven for grown ups.The food is delicious especially the desserts.I love the ambiance and attaention to detail that makes it such a lovely place to relax and socialise with friends.Everything is so clean and fresh and the idea of dining out under the stars is pure romance.I would recommend it to anyone who wants a really special night out.
