Penny graduated from London's Central School of Art and Design in the early 1980's and has been working as a professional artist ever since. Now living in Deal,close to Dover and Sandwich Kent, she strives to be an artist at heart of the local community, exhibiting, painting to commissions and leading and supporting community art projects in and around Dover, Deal and Sandwich Kent.
As well as painting portraits and otehr original works, Penny teaches portrait painting and oil painting. You will find her art classes, held near Deal, Kent listed under Artlark in the Local Information on The Best of Dover Deal & Sandwich.
Penny exhibits regularly, both locally, in Kent and nationally. A member of Kent artists' group SEAS (South East Artists) she also leads the local community art project Loose Cannon. Loose Cannon creates artistic and cultural events in the heart of the Dover Deal, and Sandwich Kent local community, mixing art, music, story-telling, drama and other media in a hands-on, participative spirit.
Penny's landscapes of the Dover Deal and Sandwich Kent area are vibrant and striking and convey her love of the local area, its life and history.
