The Kent Miners Festival is now a permanent fixture in Deals social calender celebrating the lives and work of Kent mining population. It not only keeps the memory of local miners alive but is an important part of our towns local heritage perserved for future generations. Community support is vital so we can all work towards the creation of a proper interactive mining experience centre at Fowlmead Country Park which would be a superb educational resource for schools and must see/ experience visitor and tourist attraction.
