The Empire Cinema is located in Delf Street, Sandwich, and showed its first movie in 1937. Refurbished in 1993, it retains its art deco style, decor and charm.

The Empire Cinema, Sandwich, Kent, has a licensed bar and the lounge area is also used for weekly tea dances. Monthly classic cinema film showings are popular and include accompaniment on the cinema organ, played by Colin Jay.
All film screenings are bookable by calling the Cinema in advance. Movie admission prices are just £5, with reductions to £4 for students and OAPs, as well as for matinee film performances.
