When our kitchen fluorescent light failed I was lucky enough to have been recommended Paul from whitley Electrical. He came quickly, examined the fitting and said a new one was needed. He did a temporary repair on the old one, so we had light until the following day when he returned with a new one. He had the old one down and new one fitted within a few minutes.
