Based on a traditional Caribbean recipe, Michaela’s fruit and rum cakes proved so popular that friends and family requested more and more every Christmas and birthday. Before long, she was making cakes every time a friend had a dinner party or special occasion and it was then that she started thinking about turning her cake making hobby into a business.
And as the Croydon venture has grown, so has the range of cakes. Developed from the original Caribbean ‘Tipsy Cake’ recipe, Michaela’s creations have been described as ‘Better Than Sex!’ (BTS)

In a selection of four sumptuous flavours, Tipsy Cake Boutique’s products are vacuum sealed for freshness and gift wrapped in tissue paper and organza. They come in various sizes, from 5” to 8” and there are plans for a 10 inch party creation.
Michaela is also developing a new range of alcohol-based cakes, including Limoncella and Tia Maria.
