PROCTER DANCE ACADEMY
Principal Lorna Procter (RAD RTS,AISTD) established the Procter Dance Academy in May 2000 turning her lifelong interest in dance into creating what has become the Premier Dance School in Crosby, Liverpool and across Merseyside with in excess of 400 young dancers benefiting from her vast experience.
Lorna underwent her three year vocational training at Merseyside Dance & Drama Centre, Liverpool. After graduating her teaching diploma with Distinction, she taught throughout the UK for two years at both pre vocational and vocational schools including Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre, The Hammond School, Liverpool Theatre School and Carmichael Theatre Arts. Lorna has also taken specialist workshops at The Northern Ballet School and other local schools and colleges.
Procter Dance Academy is located at Chesterfield Sports College, Crosby, Merseyside, and makes full use of the largest purpose built dance facility in Crosby and the surrounding area.
Many of Lorna's students have also flourished and have gone on to vocational level at specialist schools including The Royal Ballet School, The Hammond School, Elmhurst School for Ballet, Urdang Academy, Liverpool Theatre School and Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre.
Procter Dance Academy in Crosby offers expert tuition in many different disciplines, including Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz / Street Dance. The Academy based in Crosby also offers tuition in Drama and Musical Theatre.
The Academy offers 3 week trial lessons and there are discounts for student that attend more than one class - see the pricing section on their own site for more details.
Since its creation, Procter Dance Academy has built a reputation for orchestrating bi-annual shows at Crosby Civic Hall featuring the students entertaining the families, friend, relatives and the people of Crosby and showcasing the achievements of the School.
