One in eleven babies born in Mid Cheshire every year needs additional support - ranging from a few hours of special care to a few weeks in an intensive care unit.

The One in Eleven Appeal is aiming to raise £1million pounds for a new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit based within Leighton Hospital in Crewe, so as to further enhance the existing facilities. This will help transform the lives of some of the most vulnerable babies born in our local area.

Do you know someone locally whose baby was born prematurely, underweight or with other complications? The chances are you might.

Approximately 3,000 babies are born in the Crewe and Nantwich area each year with one in eleven needing additional support.

Every penny raised from this campaign will go towards a new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Leighton Hospital so families can feel safe, comfortable and more able to deal with the anxiety of such an emotional time. The new facilities will help ensure that they are able to continue to serve the local community in the long term.

How to get involved

• Individual giving
