The Southern Private Landlords Association, Crawley Council and other local councils in the Gatwick area have joined forces to stage the event. The Residential Property Tribunal Service and other relevant organisations will also be involved.
The new legislation encompasses topics including compulsory licenses for some rented properties, the new Housing Health and Safety rating assessment for residential properties and new stipulations for rent deposits.
Landlords face severe penalties for non compliance.
The forum will be addressed by a number of speakers and Council staff will be available between 2pm and 9pm to answer queries.
