The real cost of a youthful appearance.
When you consider the cost of your skin care regime, what exactly do you consider? Do you consider the monetary cost/ content/ ethical nature of the products?
I was in the dark about skin care products until a few months ago, I neither knew what went into my shampoo nor worried about it. What I was using did the job, my hair and skin were clean, so what else really mattered?
A few months ago I was talking to someone from a skin care company who challenged those thoughts. For instance did you know that petrochemicals are used in skin and body products? Animal by-products are also contained in a number of them as well! I have to admit I was shocked, and started to look closer. There are so many confusing chemical names on the backs of my old shampoo, conditioner, shaving gel etc, and I have to admit I didn’t know what half of them were. More worryingly until now, I hadn’t cared. They were advertised on TV so they must be safe, yes?
So I embarked on a journey of discovery (no really I did), to see what I was actually putting on my skin. I decided shortly after starting that I needed to use more ethical, and cleaner products. Especially when my wife and I run an alternative therapies practice (Ananda Healing)! I had a look at some pure product ranges but unfortunately, although they were really clean they had little or no benefit to my skin condition and in some cases my skin became worse!
Finally I found a skin care range that was plugged as pure, safe, and beneficial. Added to that, I was given the products to try for a few days free of charge. Now that’s not something that your high street brands do! I tried the products for a few days to see what the benefits would be and since November have been exclusively using them.
So I’m using products that are vegan approved (no animal testing), are free from harmful chemicals (the products are made from plant extracts and the like), contain no petrochemicals, animal by-products. And they work! I saw the benefits to both my wife’s and my skin within days.
Now I know what you’re thinking, they must cost the earth, but you’d be wrong. I pay less than a number of well known high street brands, and get the benefits of top of the range skin care. All because I order it over the internet at heavily discounted rates!
What more could you ask for? Well if you’re a woman you could ask for makeup that’s as beneficial, a spa set or other pampering products, or a baby range to protect your little ones from harmful chemicals. We have them all!
