Titanic 100 Year Anniversary
1912 - 2012
To commemorate the Titanic's first only voyage, The History Wardrobe have created a presentation based on the fashion of the Edwardian period.
The showcase highlights how significantly clothes highlighted status in this period, which is chillingly reflected in survival rates of different classes on-board the ship at the time.
You will be able to see beautiful gowns and lingerie of the upper classes alongside the clothing of the 2nd and 3rd classes. In the case of the Titanic, the only items left of many of those who perished are the shoes and boots littering the ocean floor.
