The Strand stands out as a charming purpose built hair and beauty salon in the Old Village of Corby, and is proudly owned by Mrs Jennifer Johnston who has enjoyed more than 30 years in the hairdressing and beauty profession.
When I asked Jennifer what she attributed her success to, without hesitation she said, "We care about what we do and we're all passionate about the service we provide".
There is an immediate very friendly atmosphere in the salon and it is apparent that regular customers feel at home and have complete confidence in their stylists who all benefit from ongoing training to maintain their high skill levels.
Jennifer is a firm believer in top quality training for her staff and has engaged 'SAKS', a Grade 1 National Training Provider to ensure professional standards are always kept up to date with modern trends and new technology.
Hair Services:
The Strand is a specialist centre for colouring with Goldwell products, and is one of only a very few salons in Northamptonshire to have 'IntraLipid Technology' which uses 92% natural ingredient colours to better protect the hair and skin. Nectaya is ammonia free, giving a more natural and healthier feel to hair and also gives reliable grey coverage of up to 100%.
And if a customer usually has an allergy towards colour, well they even have a product which is safe and allergy free!
The Strand provides all hairdressing services including re-design, cut and blow dry, special occasion hair and the senior technicians are fully trained to use Raccoon hair extensions.
The Strand salon is the only local stockist of KMS hair products, a company which has inspired and revolutionised the professional hair care industry over the past thirty years with frequent advances in technology.
Beauty Services:
The Strand is also a highly respected Beauty Salon employing 2 full time highly trained beauty consultants.
The salon uses a range of OPI GelColor nail coating products for stronger and beautiful looking nails, fast drying for busy 'on the move' customers.
But in addition to traditional beauty services - manicures, pedicures, nail polishing, waxing, make up, eyebrow and eyelash treatments and extensions, - they have the 'Genie Complete' machine which the ultimate slimming and toning system, incorporating the most powerful non-surgical face lift machine available today.

I love The Strand. From the moment you walk into the salon, you are treated like royalty! The staff are wonderful and friendly. I get pure pampered when I'm there.
