The Manor House Restaurant will soon be open!

The Manor House on Cottingham Road in Corby is opening its doors this month to begin its new life as a state-of-the-art training restaurant, and business solutions centre with conference facilities.

The Manor House was designed by renowned local Architect John Alfred Gotch and built in 1905 as a private house for local steel magnate James Paine. Originally set in 50 acres of grounds lying on the outskirts of Corby, over the years the property has been put to a number of uses including a Boy’s Club, the Avon Club and the home to the County Registrars.

The refurbishment of this lovely building is now very close to completion, having been severely damaged by an arson attack in 2009. It will soon accommodate Tresham’s Catering and Hospitality courses complete with a fully licensed restaurant to provide realistic training and experience for students and will be open to the public for morning coffee, lunch and evening meals.

You may well have seen Simon Perry's last blog, encouraging us all to spoil ourselves in the grotty months ahead, so why not take his advice, and spoil yourself with a meal at the Manor House.

Do let us know here at thebestofcorby what you think of the new restaurant.
