Signalling the end of a series of high profile events celebrating the firm's 25th anniversary, Alan Godfrey Maps, known nationally to historians and genealogists as publishers of Ordnance Survey Maps dating back to the 1800s, is helping to bring the Swansea City Opera company to the Empire Theatre, Consett on March 28th through their sponsorship.
A Donizetti fan himself, and keen to support the Empire Theatre, Alan Godfrey has tied his company's celebrations in with the touring production of the composer's 'La Fille du Regiment'.
Having also collaborated on events at venues such as the London Coliseum this year and looking forward to potential future partnerships with the 'excellent Empire', he hopes that this production by an internationally-renowned opera company will encourage more people in Derwentside to sample the opera experience.
