Where does the credit crunch stop

Bookmark and Share

I have just read an announcement that CONWY is to get a 2.9% increase in revenue support grant next year. The inflation figure has hit 5.2%.

This is an appalling settlement meaning cuts in services unless our Council tax bills are set to soar again.

Where does this all stop? Someone has to pay for the bailout of the banks? is that the reason?

Of course it is not the UK Government that is doing this it is the Welsh Assembly Government, they are calling the shots, like tinpot dictators moving their priorities around and posturing in party political terms.

This is however something that has happened caused by the Labour Westminster Government. Devolution is another word for STEALTH TAXATION. Fingers cannot be pointed at Westminster but that is where the problem started. The cost of the Assembly is eating up the services that we need and then the public has to pay again.

Where does the credit cunch stop?
Answer; at the door of each and every council tax payer.
