Our son started at SDSMA nearly three years ago - as a young lad with ADHD, it is one of the few activities he has continued to show an interest in for any length of time - testament to the instruction and people skills of Sean, Alex, Mandy and the gang. He has gained enough confidence to start attending Kata competitions now, giving him a whole new target to aim for - his first medal/trophy! Would have no hesitation in recommending SDSMA to anyone looking for an activity for their children.

I joined only 3.5 months ago after previous clubs grading fees astronomical escalation. Sean and staff have accepted me and my friend very positively, and I feel confident I shall achieve my black belt, with great tuition. I never needed to worry about finding a new club, as Sean invited me down for a discussion and put all my worries to rest. Besides being professional, staff are very friendly, and encouraging, and proud in their teaching. I would recommend this club to anyone who is looking for a very supportive professional establishment. Sean should be very proud of his acheivements.

After attending a friends birthday party at the club back in the summer of 2008 my lad attended a free lesson and has not looked back since.

Initially joining the Kid Kick (junior karate) he got the bug and now has achieved orange belt in Karate. He has made loads of new friends in both students and instructors alike, he competes at competitions and now wants a trophey cabinet to put his silverware in!!

From a parents perspective the club is great, good facilities, professional (international) instructors, friendly atmosphere and the right balance between discipline and fun that keeps my lad working towards his black belt. So good in fact that I have moved from watching to participating too. As a 40 year old with no previous ma experience I can thoroughly recommend the classes for fitness, fun and of course the new self defense skills!

Come and give it a go you wont be disappointed.

I joined the krav maga class at 24 having never done any martial arts before. The class is really fun and the teachers are great at making you feel welcome and helping out when you get stuck.

SD School of Martial Arts is awesome. They are welcoming to new members and attempt to involve them as much as they can in club activities as soon as possible. They do not submit an interested but undecided new member to undue pressure and are happy to answer any questions.

I have been doing Krav-Maga and Kickboxing at the SD School of Martial Arts for about half a year and they are brilliant. They are really welcoming even if you have never done martial arts, or even sports before. The teachers are all excellent and amazingly helpful and everyone is encouraged to do their best. The atmosphere is friendly and it is such a good laugh. I would recommend it to everyone, literally everyone. You do not have to be good at sports or healthy as everyone is just told to do what they can and then build it up. I am much healthier since starting.

My entire family are members of SD Martial Arts. My youngest son (3 years old)is a little dragon, my eldest son (8) and I are yellow belts in Karate and my husband does Krav. Proof that this club caters for all ages, sexes and levels of fitness. This is a first class organisation which I have no hesitation in recommending.

We started at SD over 2.5 years ago and have enjoyed every minute. Both my children and I attend Karate classes and what is great is the we can enjoy a sporting activity together. Sean and the rest of the instructors are excellent and are always welcoming - even if they make you work hard! We have all made friends and I can see the benefit for my children in their increased confidence and fitness.

I attend Krav Maga classes twice a week and love it. All the staff are very friendly, the instructors great and the class atmosphere is almost bordering a second family. A fantastic way to keep fit in an environment that is well equipped and very comfortable. I would recommend everyone give it a go.

My 6 year old son has been attending SDSMA for a few years now learning Karate in the ʼKid Kickʼ classes. It is a fantastic environment for people of all ages & ability to learn something new & build their confidence. A relaxed, friendly atmosphere where we feel like ʼpart of a familyʼ. Sean is an inspiration, you only have to watch the children respond to him to understand. They have so much fun yet are so well disciplined. I would reccommed Sean & his team to any parent or adult.
