We went on a chance tonight as we could not get into where we wanted to! But we were not disappointed on the chance we took. All 3 course were beautiful, attention to details, good com's with staff and very tasty all round. could not fault! Highly recommended. Thank you.
My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary, we had wonderful food and service and would definately go back again
Great restaurant. We do miss Franco, who I believe moved to clacton, however quality is maintained.
Excellent restaurant. Have been on business and pleasure and it never fails to delight. Wonderful menu and a wide selection of wines. A great place to go for any occasion. Pam Erny
I can highly recommend this restaurant. I enjoy the food here and have been back time and time again, both at lunchtimes and the evenings. The staff are always polite, helpful and welcoming and the food is always of a high standard. Definitely highly recommended and truly exceptional..
We went here to celebrate my fatherʼs birthday last year and wow! What a fantastic restaurant - brilliant service from lovely staff and beautiful seafood dishes - my scallops were to die for!
Unimpressed. No atmoshere, noisy with loud talking, lights on full.no music. Cafe style overcrowded seating. Food poor and service average. Not recommended for a romantic meal. Unenjoyable experience, would not return. Was advised that this was to be avoided but went open minded. Never again.
We were pleased to feature Portofinos on The Best of Colchester due to a number of personal recommendations from local people. Franco is a great character with a passion for good, fresh ingredients. The restaurant is light and airy and there is easy parking right outside. Highly recommended.
Six people ate here .. none were impressed .. expected better from a restaurant with Italian owner. We are regular visitors to Italy but that may not make us experts of course.
