SInce the North Hill Noodle Bar opened across the Hill from Axiomʼs offices Iʼve used them for business lunches many times and find them the ideal place for a quick, really good meal. The service is always just right, prompt, pleasant and efficient. The House Noodle dish is a sure bet, meaning your clients will be pleased, and so will you or your boss when checking your expenses, it isnʼt costly.
As a regular visitor to the noodle bar (sometimes as many as 3 times a week) i can highly recommend anyone to visit. The staff are always welcoming and freindly, the restaurant has a great atmosphere, the food is without exception, freshly cooked with fresh ingredients, served hot, and always with exceptionally quick food service and great value for money! I have introduced loads of my freinds and family to the noodle bar who now all go nearly as often as i do. At least a few times a month i meet with a group of freinds at the noodle bar, we always order nealry every side dish on the menu, instead of ordering main dishes....squid, prawn toast, capital ribs, chinese greens...!!! Always great food and good fun!
I really like eating in the North Hill Noodle Bar as there are a range of different dishes to try. One of my favourite dishes is the Roast Duck with rice. There arefriendly serving staff and it is a quick and easy way to have a meal out.
The North Hill Noodle Bar is not just a great Chinese restaurant, itʼs much much more then that! From the moment you walk into the Noodle Bar youʼre greeted as if a long lost friend by one of the fantastic staff, very often by one of the owners, who take great pride in making everyone feel welcome. The atmosphere is always inviting and suited to any occasion, be it a quiet meal for two or a big party. The music makes all the difference, a fantastic mixture of new and old lounge, jazz, real soul, chilled electronic and old school funk. It always seems to be just the right tunes. What can I say about the food? Well Iʼve actually been eating there since midday on their first day of opening and Iʼm still back as much as 2 or 3 times a week. I think that speaks volumes about not just the food, but the whole place. The selection of food is huge, and has something for everyone - and recently they have added a small, but mouth-watering selection of deserts. If there is something you donʼt like in the ingredients, then ask and they will cook it without it in. Want noodles instead of rice, no problem. In fact nothing seems to be a problem. The food is served incredible quickly, always hot and most importantly, always freshly cooked. If you only eat in one place in Colchester, make this it. Iʼve invited friends from all of the country and even Australia to be my guest here and theyʼve all come back for more. Oh, and try the squid, itʼs stunning.
The North Hill Noodle Bar is one of the regular lunchtime destinations for all of us at The Best of Colchester. They serve a great lunchtime special for the price of a couple of sandwiches. There is a great atmosphere and it is very convenient. Highly recommended.
