Lexden Lodge Kindergarten is a highly acclaimed nursery school and daycare provider based in the Lexden Road, near the centre of Colchester.
Lexden Lodge opened its doors to children in July 2005 and since then has been identified as "outstanding" by Ofsted and named the third best nursery school in Britain by both The National Day Nursery Association and by Nursery World Magazine.
They won the 2007 National Day Nursery Association Award as well as the 2007 Nursery World Magazine Award. They now have 125 places and open daily from Monday to Friday.

With the current focus on children's diet and exercise they provide a secure outdoor area divided into a shady area where the youngest can sleep and a grassed over play area the borders of which provide a place for gardening for the older ones. The play area contains a mini adventure playground, with a Toddler Tower with a slide and rope walk as well as springy animals and rubber stepping posts. They provide nutritious snacks and meals prepared on the premises which are balanced and give the children a wide range of choice; taking account of any special dietary needs and allergies of the individual child.
