Jacqueline is an artist and illustrator working in pencil, pastel and watercolour and is able to give expert advice on which medium would be best suited for your illustration. Jacqueline works from photographs, either supplied by yourself or taken by Jacqueline by arrangement. She is able to combine photographs together to create a multiple image illustration. This is perfect when you would like, for example, 3 children or pets in the same illustration and you don't have one good photograph of them together - choose 3 separate photos and Jacqueline will create a beautiful, framed illustration composed of all 3 photographs.
Jacqueline is very relaxed and easy to work with. The process of commissioning her is very simple.
- Send your photographs to her and she will give you a quote for the different styles and size requested.
- Once the style is agreed, a deposit is paid (cash, cheque or card).
- A jpeg of the final illustration can be sent on request.
- The balance is paid on collection.
- Your satisfaction is guaranteed - if you are not happy with the end result, you will not be required to pay the balance.

Jacqueline South was born in Colchester and set up Jax Design & Illustration in 1993 after studying Art and Design in Colchester, Essex, then Graphic Design in Taunton, Somerset. She works as an artist and graphic designer for both private and commercial clients, producing excellent portraits of pets, people, landscapes, detailed illustrations of buildings and also designs logos, stationery, brochures, arrange print and much more.
