Sensei Darren Reynolds who founded the club is a 5th Dan with over 20 years experience in Martial Arts. He was an instructor with English Wado Sports Karate Association then with World & British Federation of Martial Arts before concentrating his energies in Colchester. Colchester Wado Ryu Karate is a proud member of the Ryukyu Association of Karate and Gung Fu and also of Sports Essex.
Wado Ryu is an ideal training for both children and adults. It teaches self-reliance, confidence and how to channel energies in a constructive and healthy way - and what is more it is great fun.
