house prices in August

Breaking news

House prices in August fell in August from Land Registry.

Those of you following my twitter DaveG_Surveyor will know I predicted this some weeks ago. It is normal market fluctuations to balance out the bull market we saw in July and reflects the Holiday period when for some reason nobody was buying. it will be interesting to see what effect the approach of the end of the stamp duty holiday will have. It could s a short term surge followed by a period of rationalisation in the market.

Based on experience and observation the market seems to be bouncingalong the bottom with signs that it will stay there for a while.
