I have found the perfect Christmas present and it is on my doorstep! Isn't it amazing how something can be right under your nose and you had no idea how amazing it is?
A couple of weeks ago I visited the Chocolate Tart and I learnt how to make absolutely delicious chocolates. The Chocolate Tart is actually Lisa Clarke, she's a trained chef, and she runs the most amazing chocolate cookery school from her bespoke catering kitchen in Congresbury. It is such an amazing thing to do and it has to be the most perfect gift for someone.
I joined a group of 4 lovely people who were all celebrating various birthdays and I had come alone. So before we had even started with the chocolate we were having a nice social time. There was some lovely wine, elderflower cordial, juices and sandwiches as it was over lunch time. Best of all there is lots of chocolate tasting throughout the day.
I was with Lisa and the others for 3 hours and we made so many chocolates. I think its about a kilo, so many lovely delicious chocolates. Everything you make you keep. We made truffles, enrobed pralines and marzipan, we even made fondant filled chocolates and there were so many flavours to choose from. It is a chocolate lovers heaven and Lisa is so good at explaining what to do. We then had the pleasure of gift wrapping our chocolates with assorted pretty boxes, and ribbons and the finished products looked so professional.
Lisa does all sorts of chocolate making classes and you can get vouchers to give people as presents so as far as Christmas goes, it is such a wonderful, unique and delicious present. I cannot speak highly enough of the fantastic time I had with the Chocolate Tart. Totally perfect present. info@thechocolatetart.co.uk
