Clacton's Chamber of Trade has invested over £10,000 in the town's late-night shopping event and residents are being urged to turn up to show their support for the Christmas celebrations. The High Street will be closed to traffic so as to make room for two snow machines and two laser machines. There will be singing and dancing performances from local schools and the tree, a gift from businesses involved in the town revamp, will be turned on at 6pm. Father Christmas will be in attendance and there will be plenty of refreshments, entertainments, stalls and shops open.
