The Cake Kitchen in Connaught Avenue, Frinton, near Clacton-on-Sea, is a family owned business run by Master Baker Martin Forecast and his wife Debbie. Martin is an award winning, fully qualified bakery college graduate who takes great pride in producing top quality delicious breads, cakes, pies, pasties and quiches, all baked on the premises in his traditional brick oven.
The Cake Kitchen's range of freshly cooked bread rolls, loaves and baguettes is mouth-wateringly superb, from the traditional bloomers, sandwich and cottage loaves to the more exotic such as a variety of popular flavoured breads (basil and sun dried tomato or garlic and herb, for example). Master Baker Martin will also bake bread for you to order, whatever your requirements.
Everyday, The Cake Kitchen is freshly stocked with a superb range of morning goods: doughnuts, Belgian buns, Danish pastries, individual cakes, large cakes, slab cakes and pound cakes, then there's madeira, lemon, coffee and walnut cake, date and walnut, cherry cake and chocolate cake - all with a variety of sumptuous toppings, alongside carrot cakes and gateaux - to name but a few!
And, or course, there's the huge range of delicious bread rolls, baguettes and loaves, whether they be white, brown or wholemeal, large or small, sliced or uncut. In addition, you will find a good selection of savoury items, such as sausage rolls, pies and pasties, bacon and cheese savouries, quiches etc and, as if that isn't enough, there is a good supply of freshly prepared coffee and sandwiches available to order.
