Named after Anna Kessler and Victoria Payne, and their lives of inspirational Christian service, the Anna Victoria in Frinton-on-Sea near Clacton-on-Sea was established as a charitable trust in 1985. In 1994 the purpose built nursing home was completed to provide high quality short and long term care, and respite care, within a Christian environment. In accordance with Christian values, The Anna Victoria Nursing Home accepts anybody over 65 with a physical disability, or chronic or terminal illness, regardless of their creed or belief system.
Decorated and furnished to an impressive standard, surpassing most other homes, The Anna Victoria boasts 28 en-suite bedrooms, each with its own TV, telephone point and nurse-call system. The home also contains two lounges, a spacious dining room, hairdressing salon and large secluded gardens. Entertainments on offer include weekly piano recitals and a mobile library changes the available books every 6 weeks. Each month, where possible, outside entertainment such as live music or pantomime is arranged. Visitors are welcome at all times with special arrangements possible for those travelling long distances.
