Gifts of the Sun is a charitable organisation, founded by artist Mary Harris-Kasuba, who grew up in Clacton on Sea.
The Ronald Minshaw-Harris Family Foundation is a non-profit charitable organisation, set up by artist Mary Harris-Kasuba, who grew-up in Clacton on Sea. Mary's brother, Ronald, suffered from Muscular Dystrophy and was the inspiration behind this charitable foundation. Sadly, Ronald died very recently, but, in his name, this charity foundation aims to help other sufferers as well as those with Multiple Sclerosis.
Shortly before he died, Mary and her brother revisited Clacton on Sea, where they were able to relive some of those happy carefree childhood days spent at the beach and on the pier. These are the kind of wonderful memories that Mary would like all children to have. Mary's vision is, that through the charitable foundation's sales of her artwork (see pictures on the right) and also through donations direct to the charity, British children suffering from MD and MS will be able to visit the USA, whilst children from America will be visiting England, for a once in a lifetime experience.
