Friday 12 June

A beautiful day and for me, it's up before the lark for this week's business breakfast meeting of the Coastal Business Exchange Networking group.

This is a group of like-minded business owners who get together at The Warwick Arms in Clacton every Friday at 6.30 (yes, that's AM!) in order to provide each other with business leads, introductions, advice, help and support. This group has been together for over two years now and has recently evolved into its current format. The main thing which sets it apart from other groups of the same type is the level of friendship and support which all the members give each other. There is a serious point to it all, because we want to generate business for each other and to help the Clacton-on-Sea community in any way we can but we also have fun and learn to approach life and its problems in a balanced way.

If you're a business owner or manager and you haven't yet checked Coastal Business Exchange (CBX) out, then why not contact me right away and arrange to come along to one of our meetings? There'll be lots more about the group in this blog in future and a few of the other members will be contributing to this as well.

After that, it's off to Canberra Carriage Company (double "bestof" award-winners). You'll have seen the "Best of Clacton" car - a startling red MG ZR, sold to us and kept in superb running order by Canberra (with their logo prominently displayed on the rear screen).  I probably shouldn't be allowed to go there actually, since there's almost always something else I want (and I haven't got any more parking space).  Today is no exception - a really attractive - looking Alfa Romeo 147 Lusso and a nice red MX5 at a really great price.  I'm not allowed any more cars, so check out their website - there's always something exciting there and it's just the time of year for a nice sporty little car!
